guide was Dr. D. S. Khoche. Research center was Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya.

Compilation of Rakta dhatu
& Raktavaha strotas is done from prevadik period till date.
The scholar had tried to correlate Rakta dhatu with
blood and Raktavaha strotas with Reticulo endothelial system.
Liver & Spleen which are mentioned
as mool sthan (Controlling organ) of Raktavaha Strotas can be understood as
capillary bed in liver & spleen.
The main function of reticulo
endothelial system is phagocytosis & to provide immunity & strength to
human body. Similarly to provide strength is also main function of Rakta dhatu.
Proper healthy perception of touch (Sparshgnanam
asamshagam) is a function of Rakta dhatu. This function can be correlated with modern
function of antigenic recognition.
