Title: Purishvaha Strotasgata Sharir- Kriya: Ek Abhyas = Study of Purishvaha srotas (stool formation & excretion tract )

    This dissertation has submitted to Pune University in 1996 for the P.G. degree M.D. (Sharir Kriya).

       The dissertation is in Marathi language. In this research work mainly Purishvaha Strotas is studied for this study three type of examination were taken consideration –

 I) Stool examination.

 II) Koshtha (colonic sensitivity).

 III) Constitution determination.

       35 volunteers were examined and koshtha was determined on the basis of nature of stool. The age group was 15 – 20 Years Amongst 35 volunteers 16 Krur (Hard) Koshta People were of Vata constitution, 11 moderate 

(Madhyam)  Koshtha people were of Kapha   constitution, 11 soft koshtha people were pitta constitution.

    After examining 100 stool samples it was seen that in 89 cases the dosha involved in pathogenesis of disease and dosha involved in the pathological state of stool are same. e.g. in Pittaja diarrhoeas the features of stool sample were also showing the pitta predominance.
